ScanMemories Report- India: Trends in Digitising Old Family Photos (Part 1)

Check the 1st part of ScanMemories report ‘India: Trends in digitising old family photos’. The report is based on an independent survey conducted by ScanMemories  with 130 respondents across India. The objective of the survey was to understand in this age of ‘Digital India’ how Indians are taking care of their physical photos.

In this 1st part of the series, we asked the respondents about how they are storing their old photos. The key results are as follows:

• 1 in every 5 respondents (19.2%) responded that they have lost their photos
• Around 49% respondents have stored the original photos and albums
• Only 10% respondents have cleaned their photos regularly and have stored them in new albums
• 52% have digitised some but not all of the photos and stored them in phones or personal computers.
