It was great to see happiness on Niraj’s face when we delivered his over 1500 photos from 30 albums digitised in a Google Drive along with cleaned physical photos. Photos right from his parent’s marriage to his own marriage.
The family has documented their time together, special occasions as well as time with friends and family in form of photos. It was amazing to see the lovely family maintaining and taking good care of their precious photo memories of over 40 years.
Though with age, some photos had developed a yellowish tinge and we were happy to colour correct these photos of 70’s to their original glory.
Niraj’s father had very meticulously documented the occasions on which the photos were taken along with date and place and we were happy to digitise this information as well.
Niraj, himself a perfect family man who has been leaving abroad for quite a long time now, is very emotional about these photos.
When we asked him why he wanted to digitise the photos, his simple logic was, “We live for posterity. At some time we want to take all the nostalgia when we grow old. And I feel some day I might lose these memories in form of these photographs. Some of them might get damaged, some of them might get lost. I want to carry a bit of my parents wherever I go. So I decided to digitise all my memories. Now all beautiful 37 years of my existence has been bundled in small USB drive and I am going to keep them on cloud somewhere… so when I am 70 years old sitting with my friends and family, I can relive the entire memories.”
